A few years ago I had laser eye surgery at Optimax clinic in Birmingham.

All went well for a while, but then, out of the blue, I developed an eye disease. I had not previously suffered with any eye problems and believe this may be linked to my laser surgery.

Then about 12 months ago I began to suffer from severe sensitivity to light, in particular glare from the computer monitor. I also believe this to be linked to my surgery, and I now have to wear sunglasses even to watch TV.

I had to give up my job at Christmas after months of struggling to cope, as it involved significant use of the computer.

I have paid a very high price to improve my distance vision.

Back from the hospital. The doctor confirmed it was a corneal abrasion, but said she had never seen a shape like it as this time instead of being in a straight line the abrasion was a U shape, as though someone had got a pen and drawn on my left eye. She said it was unusual. It's still not completely healed and I have to stay off work for at least another week :(

Tomorrow I have to go to the West Cumberland Hospital at 10 o'clock to find out if I had another episode of corneal erosions or something even worse.

This is how I have spent the weekend!

Hi

Just to let you know my wife Amanda has had a bad few days and is now blind.

She was sent to the hospital from work and has either another corneal abrasion or an ulcer, they can't tell at the minute. She has to go back to the hospital on Monday for further investigation to see if it has healed. I'm having to take time off work to look after her because she can't be left alone. If Amanda can manage it I will be videoing her blind to show people the real life changing effects of this laser eye surgery. It's horrific to see her like this.

Will Mr Ambrose lodge multiple court orders claiming harassment against all of Ms Rodoy's supporters who will no doubt attend the trial later this year?

As an Optimax director and shareholder, married to the CEO himself, I wonder if Mrs Sara Jane Ambrose will attend to support her husband.

Optimax have been sending my husband junk mail for years, even though it's obvious he does not want to know. What is really shocking is the fact that they had ruined my eyes before that, making it even more unlikely that he should want to go ahead! Completely tactless, but unsurprising as they obviously don't care what they do to people as long as they make money!

"Woman in eye laser damages claim
Thursday 8 January 2015

A businesswoman who says her eyes were damaged by laser treatment and the boss of a firm specialising in eye surgery are embroiled in litigation.

Sasha Rodoy, who campaigns for better regulation of eye surgery, and Optimax founder Russell Ambrose have sued each other and are fighting in Central London County Court.

Ms Rodoy, 61, of Muswell Hill, north London, says Mr Ambrose breached an agreement to pay for corrective treatment after her eyes were damaged as a result of Optimax laser surgery four years ago.

She is claiming damages of nearly £3,500.

Mr Ambrose wants an order preventing Ms Rodoy from behaving in a way "which amounts to harassment" and damages of up to £100,000 for loss of business.

Both dispute each other's claims.

Detail of the dispute was outlined at a preliminary court hearing and a trial is expected to take place later this year.
