EYE SURGERY PRICE WAR : AT WHOSE EXPENSE?

I believe all companies charge as much as they can get away with depending on how gullible they think the customer is.
The discounts they offer are bait & switch tactics similarly to advertised prices "From £395"
We know OE have a target based bonus structure for optoms as published in their vacancy ads, so presumably that's related to a payment tier.
Any OE staff reading who can shed light on this?
From what I've read, people who are reluctant to sign on the dotted line at their first FREE consult are told that the discounted price is for a ltd time, which it's obviously not.
With associated incentive schemes for customers to push '£500 Off' vouchers onto friends in return for £250 cash back it's basically hard sell!

HERE IS YOUR CHANCE TO GET A £250 OFF (50/50 SPLIT ON THE £500) VOUCHER FROM THIS AMAZING EYE TREATMENT.
According to the General Optical Council,
"Sight is the most precious of all our five senses"
So where did these optoms lose their way?
On the way to the bank perhaps just behind the surgeons

OPtical Express were offering 40% off laser surgery recently. This then became 40% off 'OPTIMAX PRICES' !!!! Now offer revised to 30% off OE laser surgery.
So how can OE offer these deals when they posted a loss in December. (Assuming these are REAL offers in the first place of course!).
I THINK WE CAN ALL GUESS HOW.......compromises in patient care and safety, pushing more and more people into surgery ( possibly when not suitable) and cutting back( if this is even possible) on what is already abysmal aftercare.
This is an extremely worrying trend
