I've no idea how many procedures Fariq Qazi f**ks up, but he did let it slip that he does approx 6~8 retreats (enhancements LOL!) out of 30 per month.

Of course this is the patients fault for not healing properly.

I was in air con building yesterday afternoon when my eyes started feeling dry.

In the evening I watched less than 2 hrs television before I had to close my eyes because they were so uncomfortable. They were itchy and dry then & today the best way I can describe them today is like having dirty contact lenses that I just want to rip out!

I know we all say it, but why oh why did I let this happen to me :dry:

I was treated by this person, I wasn't particularly impressed. Assured me he could fix my sight in my damaged eye, without even knowing what was wrong with it. It surely would be a first, if OE laser surgeons started resolving retinal damage. In all honesty it was simply a feeble attempt to get me to pay for treatment on two eyes.

Then he lied regarding me being able to read after the procedure, then to cap it all off, didn't particular do a good job, as my treatment wasn't centred according to the charts produced at Centre for Sight.

His medical career is searchable in google, he was in Canada prior to the UK, shame he didn't remain.

Don't know if it's any help as I'm not an Optical Express victim but my patient records from Optimax clinic were definitely altered! I expect they are all as bad as each other though.

There were so many things the Optimax optometrist had written in my records that I was NEVER told. Also she hadn't written down some important questions I asked before surgery which i found out later they lied about!!

When I read my records later and said they'd lied they told me because the records are all time dated on the computer it was impossible to alter anything!

They lied about so many things including that risks are so small and the surgeon said I wouldn't need a retreatment! I do!

Some days are worse than others & today is one if them

I am facing the rest of my life with eyesight worse than when I wore glasses & side effects like dry eyes not knowing how much worse it's going to get!

1 year after the op my eyes had already deteriorated so will I still be able to see at all when I'm 60 or 70?

Why why why did I do it???

Anyone reading this & thinking about laser eye surgery DON'T TAKE THE CHANCE!!

I was not suitable because of intolerance to contact lenses and prismatic correction. When I had 2nd consultation I was told that they didn't understand why i had been deemed unsuitable because I was suitable.
I notice now - because I have my notes, that they have written no intolerance to contact lenses and no prismatic correction, my prescription was +5.50 +6.50
I need these lenses exchanged because I have really bad ghosting and glaring headaches and sore eyes.
I have multifocal lenses and have been told if it is changed to monofocal it will help

A few eye surgery patients from Glasgow have been in touch with me, they all have problems not one person that I have spoke to has had plain simple great vision eyes what we are suppose to have, my doctor told me that the only time you let anything get done to your eyes is for medical reasons only, wish I would have spoke to her beforehand as I wouldn't be in this terrible position.

David Teenan clearly must be referring to the patient demographic that fall within the quoted "99% of patients achieve 20/20 vision"; under 40years of age within a specific most common prescription range i.e. with a high chance of success....and it must be satisfying for his patients and himself......out with this range is much more of a challenge!

David Teenan ruined my eyes and I can never have any more surgery to fix them!
This made me so angry.
