This whole scandal is a prime example of why businesses should be stopped from cutting corners when cutting corneas !

I'm 31 in 2 days time & my eyes are really doing my head in now, would like to strangle everyone in the company that did it to me. Think my next step will be therapy/counselling

Hi all, is anybody able to recommend a solicitor that doesn't require an expensive medico-legal eye examination? At present there's just no way I can afford this step to begin action against OE.

Thanks,
Chris

OE offered to put plugs in my eyes due to them being very dry after RLE surgery a year ago. I was surprised when they called to say they were in and to make an appointment to have them put in, as I had already requested my records to be sent to me!

Living in Ireland there is not a NHS so I agreed, but guess what the night before I get a message left on my phone cancelling the appointment as the optom couldn't fit them so to call and make another appointment in two weeks when they would have someone there who could!

Do they really think I'm so stupid to believe that they're not just giving me the run around again!

Made my mind up I'm off to court not an OE shop.

The "believe" word speaks volumes does it not?

"By offering a detailed and well-coordinated protocol
for continuous communication between the patient,
clinical providers, and complex case manager, this system
ensures that patients believe they are receiving
appropriate attention and the best possible care for their
condition. Given that these patients are likely to be anx-
ious, this dedicated communication is a key element in
maintaining patient satisfaction. In fact, many of these
patients become ambassadors for the practice following
completion of their care, regardless of their complica-
tion, because of the care and attention they received".

Hi Poppy, after reading your story and being successful in getting back your monies paid through Hitachi Finance, could you please advise me on what steps to take so I may achieve the same outcome.

I have been back after my treatment more than 15 times now. I have all the dry eye symptoms and would not risk any further treatment. I only want my money back to invest in some quality varifocals,as that's now my only option.

Kind Regards
Trevor

The original Hippocratic Oath states: "I will keep them (patients) from harm and injustice."

OE's Hypocritical Oath states: "I will keep them from the truth and hope they don't sue me"

An update to OE's Wikipedia page is sure to attract attention from OE's paid Wiki editors wanting to delete it, as they do with any facts OE don't want publicising. Question is, how long can OE continue to silence people? Or should I say, how much longer can they afford to financially?
